When we won the design commission for the 2011 Wormfarm Institute Roadside Culture Stand we found ourselves in need of a builder to help us realize our complicated design.  Jake Ullery of JAKE Construction Group stepped in and took the ideas from the page and helped a great deal in constructing our vision.  The finished product is a full functioning roadside cart that is used for the display and sales of fresh local produce as well as the work of local artists.  The donation of Jake’s time, effort and ideas on the project were invaluable.

JAKE Construction Group has been an asset to our school's Project Based Learning Program.  Jake not only helped my class design a project for an auction to raise money for our school, he put in over 50 man hours, free of charge.  He spent several days with my students on concept and building design as well as lumber selection, coast analysis, and task and timelines.  Throughout the project, Jake spent many long hours building, side by side with the students, while teaching best practices in construction.  His involvement with our students has created an authentic / hands on approach to learning that is invaluable to real world application.  We are grateful for his dedication to enriching our program!
